Firstly, we will go to Shimoyoshida district which has many textile factories. This is also a drinking quarter called “Nishiura”. This area has a nostalgic atmosphere and was re-evaluated as a restored town of Showa era. It was reborn as “Shinsekai Kanpai street” nowadays. We will walk to local spots, such as renovated Japanese pubs and cool wine bars combined with retro and modern parts. *Showa is a Japanese era name from 1928 to 1989. While watching a nostalgic cityscape there, let’s enjoy the Mt.Fuji view spot called “Kanatorii” ! This has a big torii, shrine gate, and Shimenawa, a sacred festoon and you can take a picture of Mt.Fuji through their gaps. Leaving this area, we will visit some spiritual places around Kawaguchiko lake which is most prosperous in the Five lakes of Mt. Fuji. “Kawaguchi Asama Shrine” which has a torii in the sky. Driving from the shooting spots that are modern and scenic to the lakeside, we are going to “Saiko lake” also known as “Blue lake” that is the most transparent and rustic of the five lakes . 「Craftworks」 You can experience needlework, pottery, handicraft and incense making in a thatched-roof house. Join me on a guided tour of Daigenta in Yuzawa, Niigata. Starting from Echigo Yuzawa Station, just 70 minutes from Tokyo, we'll cycle through Yuzawa village and explore Japanese parks on our way to Daigenta Canyon with ease on e-bikes. At Daigenta, we'll enjoy views of rice paddies and mountain peaks, take a break at the lake, and then ride downhill through the forest and old village. An optional lunch at a local café is available. We’ll return to the station by 13:00, giving you time to explore Yuzawa's onsen town. The tour starts at 9:30 and covers about 15km. 〜Flow of experience〜 9:30　Departure We will depart from the east side of Echigo Yuzawa Station 10:00　Japanese park We will stop for a while, enjoying the four seasons Japanese park of Yuzawa. Transform into a skilled artisan by donning the same white costume as an Itamae (sushi chef)! Your first job as an itamae is to prepare your own wasabi for use in sushi. Be careful, or your tears won't stop flowing. The next step is to prepare sushi nigiri. First, you will practice making the rice. The way you grip the rice makes all the difference in taste. If you can do this, you are 50% of the way to being a chef. Once you can make the rice, let's put some ingredients on top of the rice! You will complete 8 different sushi combos including Japanese tuna, salmon, Edomae conger eel, seared wagyu beef, and hand rolls. Compare and contrast the sushi you have tasted so far with the sushi you have made yourself! If your sushi tastes better, you are welcome to make your debut as an Itamae (chef) at our restaurant! If just experiencing the sushi is not enough for you, we can also attach a GoPro to your head to capture a realistic and authentic video of your experience as a sushi chef. After the meal, you can also freely enter the counter and take a commemorative photo. You will be able to take home memories that you can only have here. Sake tasting is also available as an option.
