Join me on a guided tour of Daigenta in Yuzawa, Niigata. Starting from Echigo Yuzawa Station, just 70 minutes from Tokyo, we'll cycle through Yuzawa village and explore Japanese parks on our way to Daigenta Canyon with ease on e-bikes. At Daigenta, we'll enjoy views of rice paddies and mountain peaks, take a break at the lake, and then ride downhill through the forest and old village. An optional lunch at a local café is available. We’ll return to the station by 13:00, giving you time to explore Yuzawa's onsen town. The tour starts at 9:30 and covers about 15km.
〜Flow of experience〜
9:30 Departure
We will depart from the east side of Echigo Yuzawa Station
10:00 Japanese park
We will stop for a while, enjoying the four seasons Japanese park of Yuzawa. We may see some Koi fish swiming in the pound.
11:00 Daigenta lake
We will have a small break to enjoy the breathtaking view that Daigenta Lake offer.
13:00 Return
We will be back at the train station to finish the tour, you will have time to enjoy the local food from one of the many restaurants. Giving you the afternoon to enjoy the town of Yuzawa.
The tour is design to perfectly fit a day trip from Tokyo. You can arrive by Shinkansen with the JR East Pass, Tokyo Wide Pass or regular ticket.
The refreshing mountain scenery and rice fields change every month, offering a unique beauty in each season.
All tours are offered in fluent English or native French. Explore Japan's countryside through the eyes of a local foreigner.
