It's 100% worth the money and not a tourist trap. The instructor, Sumida Sensei, was very patient and carefully taught me how to handle a katana. In the end, the improvement was visible. I started as a newbie, and at the end of the class, I was able to cut a tatami mat, bringing me a great sense of achievement. Really is worth a try!

Our ancestors were shinobi samurai who started to serve Tokugawa Ieyasu (the first shogun of the Tokugawa Shogunate) in 1582. The clan served the shogunate for 265 years. In 1868, the clan declined the invitation from the Meiji Government and became independent. We are the only lasting shinobi clan in Japan. We invite you to come to our clan dojo where real master practitioners and professional interpreters take charge of all workshops and seminars. This is good for people who want to get a deeper insight into our ninja and samurai cultures. We still handcraft our tools and weapons. Feel free to ask any questions as we have kept our shinobi samurai tradition for over 450 years. Our ancestors trained locals and their servants to be shinobi.(Ninja is a new word used in movies. Shinobi is the word which was commonly used in the feudal times,) The term "shinobi samurai" is not well-known, but you can be one of the few who knows the history and shinobi philosophy and mindsets. The shinobi samurai trained ninjas and lead ninjas as their mastermind. You will wear a ninja outfit to learn ninja techniques and learn samurai sword techniques and manners in samurai garb.

You will learn our dojo etiquette, how to walk and stand properly using a bokken (wooden sword). At the end of the session, you'll throw boshuriken. (our clan's stick-type shuriken) Program 1. Opening ceremony & wearing a samurai attire : 10min 2. Explanation of tools and weapons: 10min 3. How to appreciate and handle a sword: 15min 4. Long sword techniques: 15 min 5. Q & A (If time allows, shuriken throwing can be introduced) 6. Photo session: 5min

Let's learn a set of movements of our clan's basic sword techniques. Also, you know how to handle a sword and walk and stand properly using a bokken (wooden sword). You will start with meditation in ninja outfit and learn 5 entry level techniques with our ninja instructor. Our English interpreter is available in all sessions. 千葉県南房総市「オアシス和田浦」すぐそばの「オアシス忍者村」で忍者体験をお楽しみいただけるプランです！ オアシス忍者村についたらまずレンタルの忍者服に着替えるのがおすすめ！見た目から忍者になりきっていきましょう！ 忍者になりきったら忍者屋敷体験、手裏剣、空中ブランコ、竹はしごのアスレチックなどに挑戦！！！ 3時間で何度でも挑戦いただけます！ 最後には本物の忍者のような動きになっているかも？！
