江戸時代に始まった天然理心流剣術は今も引き継がれており、天然理心流日野道場では天然理心流の門人が剣術の腕を磨いています。 あなたも実際の道場で天然理心流を学ぶことができます。 日野で天然理心流を修行した剣士たちは、幕末に最強の剣客集団といわれた新選組を結成し、ラストサムライと呼ばれました。 新選組のふるさと日野で剣術を体験することで、ラストサムライの歴史と文化を感じることができます。 体験プログラムを指導するのは、新選組幹部井上源三郎の子孫で天然理心流日野道場会長の井上雅雄先生です。 木刀で天然理心流剣術の基本を学ぶだけではなく、侍の魂といわれる日本刀を実際に使うこともできます。 侍の魂に触れる体験は、きっとあなたを変身させるでしょう。
閑静な住宅街の中に新築の一戸建てが道場となっており、チャイムを鳴らす事なくドアを開けて2階へ入るまではここで大丈夫なのかとドキドキしましたが、道場では増渕さんが優しく迎え入れてくれたあと袴の履き方からゴザを丸めた棒の切り方まで親切丁寧に教えていただきながら体験を進めていただいたおかげて、失敗する事なく畳を切ることができて嬉しかったです。 教えて頂いた井上先生、増渕先生もとても優しく、終始楽しく体験させていただきありがとうございました。新撰組関連の演舞などがある際にはまた観に行かせて頂きたいと思います。
