・Learn how to play traditional Japanese instruments.
・You can learn about the history of the koto and its influence on modern times.
・You can play simple songs.
・It is characterized by its beautiful timbre and changing reverberations, and because of its diverse chords, it is often used in jazz and sessions. In this experience, you will be taught to play a simple piece of music.

The Highlight

In this program you will learn the basics of playing the koto. You can also experience the history of the koto and play simple songs.

The koto is a versatile instrument with a long history dating back to the 7th century. Since the end of the 20th century, it has come to be performed in all genres of music from Japanese folk songs to jazz, rock, J-pop, and hip-hop.

The koto is a traditional musical instrument that resembles a harp lying on its side.
It has thirteen strings played with prosthetic nails attached to the three fingers of the right hand.
We will guide you until you can play simple songs.
