There are basic techniques such as "tome," "hane," and "harai," which should be practiced. Learn the stroke order of the chosen kanji. This was a great class. Kaori was a great teacher and we had plenty of time to practice our brush strokes before doing our final product. She also went through some of the history of writing styles. Great experience and would highly recommend this class. Kaori also premade some writings with our names before we got there on a small piece of wood and on paper in 3 different styles.

かつては豊臣秀吉の軍師・黒田官兵衛や賤ケ岳七本槍の一人・加藤嘉明が在城したとされる「志知城跡」。日々熱心な保存活動を行う「志知城を守る会」の代表が、秀吉傘下淡路水軍の重要拠点として貴重な史跡をご案内する志知城跡見学ガイドツアーです！ 瀬戸内海・鳴門海峡に近い南あわじ市志知に位置する志知城は、鎌倉時代に菅和泉守道忠により築城されたと言われ、天正9（1581）年の豊臣秀吉による淡路攻めにより、開城されました。以降は、家臣の黒田官兵衛（黒田孝高）が守り、天正13（1585）年からは賤ケ岳七本槍の一人・加藤嘉明が城主となりました。 志知城を拠点の一つとする淡路水軍は、秀吉の九州征伐や小田原征伐、朝鮮征伐において、それぞれで大きな戦果を挙げており、秀吉にとって、淡路島そして志知城が重要な水軍拠点であったことは間違いないでしょう。 しかし、かつては黒田官兵衛や加藤嘉明が在城した貴重な史跡も、近年は竹林に飲み込まれ、地元住民からも忘れ去られようとしていました。そんな時、このままでは貴重な遺構が消えてしまう！と立ち上がったのが、地元有志による「志知城守る会」です。地元のみならず、たくさんの方に志知城跡を知ってもらい、後世へ語り継ぐべく、約5年前から日々竹林を切り開き、入口の道や看板設置などの整備活動を行ってきました。そんな誰よりも志知城への熱い想いを持つ「志知城守る会」の代表 関口さんがご案内する志知城跡見学ツアーです！ 志知城跡は、現在進行形で整備を進めており、最近も当時の井戸や古い五輪塔と思われる石などが次々と見つかっています。 もしかすると、ツアーに参加したあなたが重要遺物の発見者になるかもしれません！ ■体験スケジュール（10時出発の場合） 10：00 駐車場に集合（志知城跡北側 スーパーマルナカ正面入口の道向かい ※下部写真参照） 10：00～10：05 手作りの看板を目印に、本丸台跡へ移動 10：05～10：15 ガイドより志知城の歴史・特徴を説明 10：15～10：55 太閤石、櫓跡、古い井戸などの遺構を見た後、堀をぐるっと回り伊勢神社や声明寺へ 10：55～11：00 駐車場へ戻り、解散
