We are four friends traveling together, two women and two men. We ALL enjoyed ourselves so much. Our teacher was patient, helpful, professional and helped us any time we had a difficulty. She answered all our questions and let us stay as long as we needed. We really didn't want to leave. It was a relaxing, creative and fun activity. We will recommend it to all our friends.

It was a nice experience.

Esperienza bellissima nel realizzare le proprie bacchette e dipingendo la stoffa che le contiene. Il ragazzo che ci ha seguito è stato estremamente gentile e premuroso. Laboratorio di attività frequentato anche da persone del posto, non sembrava una cosa troppo turistica.

We had the best time during this workshop! The staff was so so welcoming and patient with us. The activity was really fun and relaxing. In the end they let us take home the chopsticks and a little bag we decorated with paint to put them in. So kawaii!

We loved this hands-on workshop to make cedar wood chopsticks. The staff were great, kind, and helpful. They taught us how to shave down the wood, carve the top, and make bespoke chopstick bags with dyed designs. It was charming, and lovely, and would absolutely recommend to others!

We had a great time making our chopsticks and dying the decorative cloth sleeves. It was fun for my 8 year old (although he struggled a little more), 10, 13, 16, husband and mother.

This was such a beautiful experience and activity. Thoroughly enjoyed the process and the keepsake.

This was an awesome experience! We had someone, who was fluent in English (important for some people), explaining every step as we went, while checking on us and giving us help as needed. It is the KyoWorkshop area, so there were other groups of people doing other crafts. We made our own chop sticks while other groups were dying fabric (that looked cool, as well!). A surprise to us at the end is we got to dye a carry bag for our chopsticks!

The staff were very friendly and helpful, even with a language barrier. Saga was English speaking and guided us through the whole chopstick making process. Excellent activity for a tourist.

Very nice and cute experience where you learn about the different arts and you get a valuable souvenir home. The staff were very kind and friendly.

We made our own chopsticks and Masato-san was very thorough and patient with his teachings.

Very fun and unique experience! Easy process to get there and check in. Got seated right away. Made our own chopsticks with our personal creativity and it was a blast!

The course was meaningful, the instructor was very skilled and a good communicator, and we actually campe out with beautiful chopsticks in a personalized bag. Super fun!

My wife, myself and my two sons wanted something different to do while in Kyoto and though this would be an enjoyable and unique experience. Everyone really liked being able to use their hands to make their own chopsticks and to appreciate the work that must go into making really nice sets.

The instruction was very helpful and the teachers spoke English. It was a small group -- just the 4 of us and 3 others -- so we felt like we had plenty of attention and assistance. No complaints for this low-key experience (indoors, so good for bad-weather days!)
