鍛治の技法で作る和包丁を刀鍛冶がお教え致します。 日本刀と同じ材料「玉鋼」を使用し、鍛錬された鉄をハンマーで形を出していきます。 ご自身で土置きをして、刃紋を入れることが出来ます。 刃をつけ、ご自分のお名前を切り、研ぎをしていただいて完成になります。 力のいる作業になりますが、刀鍛冶がしっかりお手伝いいたしますので、お子様や女性など力作業に自信のない方でもご安心下さい。 作業中、写真や動画の撮影が可能です！ 和包丁一本の体験料金になります。二名様以上で一本をお作りすることも出来ます。その際はご予約時に何名で体験するかをお伝え下さい。 三本以上でのご予約される方は少し時間がかかります。終了時刻に余裕をもってご参加下さい。開始時刻を早めることも出来ますのでご相談下さい。
We had an awesome time at the knife making experience in master Masaya Yoshidas workshop. One of his apprentices, Robert, a native English speaker, instructed and helped us all the way to the finished product. We love the knife and now use it in our Kitchen on a daily basis. Robert also answered every question we had about the rich history behind the craft of Japanese sword making and we got to observe and chat with the master too. Your knife is made from the same Tamagahane steel as a Katana, so it's a really cool and practical souvenir. Thank you so much for having us! Great memories!
