天保４年（１８３４年）創業。神奈川県で唯一、江戸時代から続く伝統技法で、すべて手作業で一品一品丁寧に染め上げています。当店の大漁旗は「かながわの名産１００選」にも指定されており、祝い旗として「結婚」「誕生」「節句」「古希」「還暦」といった人生の節目の贈り物として使用されています。
Really fun and interesting workshop to learn the history of tairyo bata and painting your own. There is also a shop where you can buy cool handmade items like tenugui hand towels. The Miura peninsula is also very scenic. Tip: The tairyo bata takes 3-4 days to ship in Japan so if you are on vacation, I recommend booking early in you itinerary so you can get the finished flag before leaving.
