Join me on a guided tour around Muikamachi, Niigata. Starting from Muikamachi Station, less than 2 hours from Tokyo, we'll cycle through Minamiuonuma's rice fields and Niigata's best spring water on our way to the Hakkaisan sake brewery, all with ease on e-bikes. At the brewery, we’ll explore the story and tradition behind this premium sake, connecting centuries of craftsmanship, heavy snowfall, and pristine water. We’ll enjoy a delicious meal featuring onigiri made from local rice (vegan option usually available). On the way back, we’ll stop at a traditional four-season Japanese park. We’ll return to the station by 15:00, giving you time to explore the local onsen or head back to Tokyo. The tour starts at 10:00 and covers about 20km.

We will depart from the east side of Muikamachi Station
11:00　Niigata Best Spring Water
We will stop a bit to taste the voted best Niigata spring water.
12:00　Hakkaisan Sake Brewery
We will visit the sake brewery, have lunch and explore the nature around the area.
14:00　Japanese park
We will visit and learn more about a beautiful Japanese park and its history.
15:00　Return
We will be back at the train station to finish the tour.

The tour is design to perfectly fit a day trip from Tokyo. You can arrive by Shinkansen with the JR East Pass, Tokyo Wide Pass or regular ticket and take the local train.
